The Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Center is a former zoo that has been transformed into an animal sanctuary. It provides shelter and care for confiscated and injured wildlife, as well as orphaned animals rescued from smugglers. The animals live in semi-natural habitats and visitors can have close encounters with them. One of the available packages is the "behind-the-screen" activity, which allows guests to interact with the animals in their holding facilities.
